A business voice for a strong economy that works for everyone
A strong economy that works for everyone is good for business, good for employees and good for Colorado.
Colorado is the best place in America to work, live and play. While Colorado's economy is booming, hardworking families are still struggling to make ends meet as the cost of living continues to skyrocket and many available jobs come with lower wages and fewer benefits or opportunities for advancement. This is not shared prosperity – and it’s unhealthy for our economy, families and communities.
As business owners, we understand that the demand for our products and services grows when everyone is thriving with good jobs, livable wages, fairness in the workplace and the education and training necessary for career advancement.
Good Business Colorado is the responsible business voice for a strong economy that works for everyone, ready to advocate for local, state and federal policies that ensure shared prosperity:
We believe Colorado’s workers deserve jobs with wages that can cover all their basics, including rent, food, transportation and medicine – and that it’s wrong when businesses paying poverty wages shift their responsibility to taxpayers for public assistance costs. Workers with more disposable income spend it in our local communities, growing our economy. Furthermore,we know that family-friendly workplaces benefit the companies that provide them by incentivizing workers to be more loyal and productive.
Every Colorado workplace should be a place where all are respected and valued, with an opportunity to have a voice at work. Also, every Coloradans should expect to be treated equally, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, disability and other characteristics.
Education & Training
Colorado’s public education system is the foundation of building a strong workforce and society of responsible and engaged citizens. We support policies that elevate early childhood education, K-12, vocational training, community colleges and universities so everyone has the opportunity to contribute to Colorado’s future and advance their own future.
